I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

This is a favorite song of mine. It became precious to me when I was facing making a major decision in my life some years ago. I would play it on the old pump organ and let the words soak in my spirit. The Lord used this song to prepare me for what life would bring for me down the road.

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow
(by Ira Stanphill)
Verse 1
I don't know about tomorrow, I just live from day to day,
I don't borrow from its sunshine, for its skies may turn to gray.
I don't worry o'er the future, for I know what Jesus said,
And today I'll walk beside Him, for He knows what is ahead.

Chorus:
Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand;
But I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand.

Verse 2
Every step is getting brighter, as the golden stairs I climb;
Every burden's getting lighter; every cloud is silver lined.
There the sun is always shining, there no tear will dim the eye,
At the ending of the rainbow, where the mountains touch the sky.

Chorus:
Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand;
But I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand.

Verse 3
I don't know about tomorrow, it may bring me poverty;
But the One who feeds the sparrow, is the One who stands by me,
And the path that be my portion, may be through the flame or flood,
But His presence goes before me, and I'm covered with His blood.

Chorus:
Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand;
But I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand

Pictures - drought at my home..

Proverbs 3:5  Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

A couple of days ago, I wrote a post entitled Drought Awakening 2012  where I discussed why God sent a drought on the land in the days of Haggai the prophet. I would encourage you to check it out.
The drought has affected our small farm. We have had so many really hot days and not very much rain at all for the crops. In fact in the month of July we had less than an inch of rain here ( only 8/10 of an inch to be exact). So our crops have suffered a lot this year and the canola is only bringing in about half as much grain as we would take off the land on a normal year. So I decided to take a few pictures to show you what the drought has done to on our field etc. I took these pictures today, August 9, 2012
These first few pictures are taken on the canola stubble. We have already combined here. You will notice the dry cracks in each picture.

This is a frog sitting on the wheat stubble.

This picture shows you the deep cracks in even in a grassy spot.
And finally, here are two pictures of the river that runs by our property. It is presently very low as you can see.

It is so good in times like these to know the Lord and His care for us. He knows exactly what is happening and He will take care of His children! Praise God!
