Happy New Year!

Matthew 22: 37 - 39   Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself

With the New Year only hours away now, we wonder what 2013 will bring. The year 2012 was a year that brought many challenges with weather related events, global problems, mideast tension and many horrific and tragic violent crimes. Then there are also our own personal issues regarding health, relationships, family and finances. If there ever was a time when we needed to turn to the Lord for guidance, direction and hope it is now. So as we enter 2013, may I encourage each of us to trust the Lord more and love and serve Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Let's love our families more tenderly as that is pleasing to the Lord. May God Bless!

Matthew 5 : 3-12
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Happy New Year to all!
