What Has the Lord Been Teaching you recently??

What has God been teaching you lately? This is a question that we should ponder regularly. We can bring glory to our Father in Heaven by sharing these kinds of things with each other. So I want to share a few thoughts that The Lord has been encouraging me with and I would invite anyone to share as well in the comment section below.

* The Lord is not angry or impatient with me when I ask Him about things I should understand by now but still do not. I can be real with Him and tell Him what is on my heart, I can tell Him everything - things that no one else would understand and even embarrassing things.

*Jesus whispers in the quietness - Come, Take my Hand, Come with Me, Follow Me

*Jesus hears us pray, He hears me cry out to Him. In the midst of the noise all around, He picks up my voice out of the crowd. He hears me, He is pleased to hear me, He loves me and will answer. Remember the story in the Bible of Bartimaeus. He called out to Jesus for healing. Jesus picked up on his cry in the midst of the crowd and called for Bartimaeus, and Jesus healed him. Read the story below - it is found in Mark 10:46 -52

And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Recent Quotes from Franklin Graham on ISIS and the Muslim faith

Christians are so very blessed to have Franklin Graham speak up so fearlessly on behalf of our faith. He tells it like it is, he invites the Muslims to come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our God, the God of the Bible, our heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ is not the same god as allah. Allah is a false god and everyone needs to recognize this. The following are recent quotes from Franklin Graham on ISIS and the muslim faith and he reminds us that one day all people will bow before the Lord Jesus Christ.

Franklin Graham writes the following:

February 17, 2015...
"The evil of ISIS really shouldn’t shock us--it is fully in keeping with their ultimate agenda of hastening a final apocalypse. God’s Word tells us that there will be a final battle one day, but it will result in the defeat of Satan and all those allied with him. One thing is for sure—one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

March 9, 2015...
"ISIS may try to knock down, blow up, or bulldoze over ancient artifacts in the Middle East to erase its history. But they can never erase the fact that the most important event in history occurred in that part of the world— God sent His Son from Heaven to this earth to pay the price for our sins by dying on a Cross. He died for all of mankind, and that includes ISIS and you and me."

March 7,2015....
"Why do followers of Islam and Christianity react so differently to the public ridicule and mocking of their respective faiths? Christianity has been repeatedly lampooned by Charlie Hebdo, but there have been no riots, assassinations or murderous threats.
Here is what I believe is the fundamental distinction: Christianity has a Savior who has been beaten and battered. A Savior who endured the public ridicule and mockery of crowds as He was stripped and hung on a Roman cross for our sins. A Savior who was betrayed and spat upon and who endured shame and derision so that we might be redeemed.
Our God does not need to be defended. He is holy, all-powerful and eternal. He needs no man to protect His honor. He is the sovereign of the universe who does whatever He pleases, and whose counsel and purpose can never be thwarted. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Creator, Sustainer and End of all things. He will have the last word on the Day of Judgment when all men will bow before Him."

March 4, 2015....
"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu - בנימין נתניהו said it well: “Iran and ISIS are competing for the crown of militant Islam. One calls itself the Islamic Republic. The other calls itself the Islamic State. Both want to impose a militant Islamic empire first on the region and then on the entire world. They just disagree among themselves who will be the ruler of that empire. In this deadly game of thrones, there's no place for America or for Israel, no peace for Christians, Jews or Muslims who don't share the Islamist medieval creed, no rights for women, no freedom for anyone…The difference is that ISIS is armed with butcher knives, captured weapons and YouTube, whereas Iran could soon be armed with intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear bombs.” Mr. President, wake up to the very real threat of Islam."

March 3, 2015.....
"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a powerful speech today before a joint session of Congress. He made the case that the greatest threat to the world is the marriage of militant Islam and nuclear weapons. He called for an end to Iranian aggression and contrasted America with Iran--"America's founding document promises life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Iran's founding document pledges death, tyranny, and the pursuit of jihad." Let's pray that our president and our leaders will wake up to the true threat of Islam."

February 18,2015...
"Mohammed is dead and buried in Medinah. Jesus Christ is alive and He is sitting at the right hand of God the Father in Heaven. Who do you want to follow, the dead or the living?"

Our God, Our Heavenly Father is Greater and Higher Than Any Other

I don't know if you have ever had the chance to meet someone famous. I have not. The only thing remotely close would be several years ago when Franklin Graham and his team were in Winnipeg for a crusade. We took our family to the crusade two nights to hear Mr Graham  preach. I remember I felt sort of in awe to actually see him in person from a distance. To be in the same building as the famous preacher was kind of an exciting feeling. I felt small and insignificant. But Franklin Graham is human, just as I am and really God's love is the same for the both of us. All of us humans are sinners, and in need of the Saviour Jesus Christ. So when I think of the who really is great - it is only God alone who deserves our worship.

Psalm 99:5 says Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
We are able to understand  the point that we should worship God, after all He is God .....but then to think that He actually also wants to be in relationship with us. That is simply amazing!! To think that God Almighty, the I AM God, God from everlasting to everlasting, the God who made the whole world and keeps it in place  welcomes us to come to Him.   We feel like such insignificant human beings and yet He loves us so. God treats us with so much love and grace every day.  He wants us to come boldly to Him in prayer with our burdens and requests and lay our lives down before Him.

Hebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We do not need to try to pretend anything before God, we can come just as we are and He is pleased that we have come and He is more than willing to communicate with us, be our best friend and meet all of our longings.

Jeremiah 29:13 says  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

He saves all who come to Him in repentance believing in Jesus as the only Saviour. And He is preparing a home for us to live with Him throughout all eternity! It can't get any better than that!!

John 14 verses 1-3 talk about the mansion He is preparing for us:

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

We see that there is no person that can ever compare to God Almightly, the LORD of all!

Isaiah 6 1-8 gives a good description of God on the throne, and how the heavenly beings worship Him. He alone is worthy of our worship!!

In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

JD Farag - there is no prophecy update this week, March 1, 2015

Just a note here to remind everyone who is watching the JD Farag Prophecy Updates with me, there will be no Update this week, March 1 2015. Pastor Farag announced this in last week's Update, I believe he said he was going to be away due to a funeral that he needed to be at.

This week too has been a busy week of news prophetically speaking. There was the killing of the Russian opposition leader Boris Nemptsov,  the revealing of the identity of the ISIS jihadi john and their continual persecution of Christians, but probably most important is that Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel is visiting the USA this week and President Obama is refusing to even meet with him. Then today the news broke that Obama has threatened to shoot down Israeli jets if they were going to attack Iran.  I do hope that Pastor Farag will address some of these news items when he returns with his next prophecy update.

In the mean time if you are interested you are most welcome to join the online radio family with Dr John McTernan and Brother Joseph tonight, Sunday nights is when they discuss prophecy news stories so join us if you are interested. This radio program is on every night of the week, so join us if you can. There is an interactive live chat room.  It is at 9pm - 11pm  Eastern, so 8pm - 10pm Manitoba time.
